You should not submit an expedite request within this 35-day timeframe unless it is urgently required:

  • within this period

  • shortly after

You must consider this before submitting your request.

Open cases are legally protected

Having an open case carries little to no risk. 

Legal protections are backdated to the day on which the keeper receives the application.

Having an open case does not impact an owner’s ability to:

  • sell land or property

  • remortgage

  • make changes to their land or property

The required date allows us to prioritse requests by urgency. 

This can be the required date:

  • related to an offer of a loan that is due to expire

  • when a transaction is due to settle

Provide information to support your client's request

Describe the impact the delay will have on your client in simple terms (500 words max).

 For example:

  • they’re at risk of bankruptcy, or their mortgage offer will fall through by the 12th of the month

  • their deal is at risk of failure if the title is not registered by the 12th of the month 

Upload a file

Because of the assessment criteria you selected, you need to supply evidence.

This can be:

  • a written refusal to transact from the other party

  • a mortgage offer stating the title must be registered for lending to proceed

  • confirmation from the lender of potential panel removal

  • evidence of potential commercial impact, e.g. liquidation or economic consequences

  • related to damage to personal reputation

  • related to an offer of a loan that is due to expire

  • that shows when a transaction is due to settle
