Is an expedite request right for you?

If yes:

You need to:

Check your Land Register application

Before you go any further, you should check that your Land Register application has:

  • been submitted

  • perhaps already completed or been rejected.

It can be helpful to contact your solicitor first before submitting an expedite request.

If you need to prove ownership you can check and order deeds on ScotLIS.

Before you submit a request, it can streamline the process if you can collect the following information from your solicitor:

  • application number

  • title number

Recently submitted applications

The majority of applications submitted to Registers of Scotland are completed within 35 days.

Find out more about our casework turnaround times.

You should not submit an expedite request within this 35-day timeframe unless they are urgently required:

  • within this period

  • shortly after

The required date allows us to prioritise requests by urgency.

This can be the required date:

  • related to an offer of a loan that is due to expire

  • when a transaction is due to settle
